Our Story: A Legacy Born from Tradition

Ohria Ayurveda was born from the vision of Rajni Ohri. Rajni’s love for nature made her inquisitive to learn Ayurveda as her parents visited Rishikesh each year for their religious trips. 

Rajni would spend her time in Rishikesh learning Ayurveda from Acharya (teacher). The more she learnt, the more she felt drawn towards it to know more. Under Acharya's guidance, Rajni learnt about preparation of hair oils, butters & salves, pishti, bhasms etc. and acquired holistic knowledge of Ayurveda from him. Interestingly, Rajni was just 12 years old when she experimented with making her own cream. Though it did not turn out to be perfect, she loved it for it was 100% natural.  

Back then, Rajni had no idea that she would utilize these experiments & knowledge but she kept learning and made notes to save all her learning from fading from her memory. Her master’s knowledge on Ayurveda was beyond words and what Rajni learnt from him was precious. She would follow him in the wee hours of morning to collect herbs, observed him treat patients and noted down most of his teachings. All these years Rajni kept learning and experimenting and never kept her books down, she would read on natural products, whenever she got some free time. She began working on the Ohria range in 2016, after 2 years of intensive research, giving her acharya’s formulations & knowledge a deliverable form. 

She is certified in Ayurveda and Beauty, with multiple acclaimed certifications in this field, including AYUSH-recognised courses and specialized training from Kerala. Her passion for holistic wellness led her to study Aromatherapy in London and become a certified Face Yoga practitioner, further deepening her understanding of natural beauty practices.
